Amber Lanier Nagle

About Amber:

A Georgia girl through and through, Amber Lanier Nagle is the keeper
of dozens of keepsakes. After working as an engineer for several years, she reinvented
herself as a freelance writer publishing her works in Georgia Magazine, Grit, Mother
Earth News, Points North, Get Out Chattanooga, and others. She is an active member of
the Georgia Writers Association and the Chattanooga Writers Guild. She is a graduate of
Georgia Institute of Technology and Mercer University. When she isn’t writing, Amber
facilitates workshops and works with aspiring writers.

About Project Keepsake:

(Amber) I am interested in the objects people keep—a dented, dime-store locket, a flock of glass
birds, a faded fishing lure, an ancient pound cake pan, an old piece of furniture, and so
many others.
“Why do you keep this?” I ask.
And then I listen as the stories and memories pour out. Everyone has a keepsake, and
every keepsake has a story to tell.
Project Keepsake is my personal crusade to collect and publish the stories that transform
simple, everyday objects into priceless keepsakes and mementos. Told in first-person by
both seasoned and aspiring writers, each story is unique, yet each reveals the common
attributes that bind us together and celebrate the glorious human experience.
